Works with what you already run
Your routing system. Your payroll system. The telematics hardware and the tablets already on your buses. Synovia is the adapter in the middle — so going with us does not mean tearing out what works.
The universal adapter
Data comes in from the systems a district already depends on, gets used on the bus and in dispatch, and goes back out to the systems that need it. Nothing here asks a district to standardize on one vendor first.
Your routing system
Routes, stops, students and assignments arrive on a nightly feed, whichever routing vendor you run.
Your student data
Rosters and eligibility from the student information system you already maintain.
Your buses, as equipped
Our services can run over telematics hardware already installed, including Zonar, Samsara and Motive.
Your tablets
Already running Samsung Tab Active 3 or 5 in the cab? Our app installs on those.
One platform generating one set of connected data
Because it all comes from the same place, there is nothing to reconcile afterwards.
Your payroll system
Driver hours captured in the cab, exported to the payroll system you already use.
Parents
Here Comes the Bus, reading the same vehicle data your dispatchers see.
Your reporting
Plan versus actual, ridership and mileage, in the formats your board and state reports need.
Anything you build
A free, open API. Not a partner tier, not a licensing negotiation — just access to your own data.
What that means when you are the one buying it
No re-routing project
The plan your routing team builds is the plan the bus executes, imported nightly and reported back against. Nobody re-keys a route, and there is no second copy to keep in step.
Hours land where they belong
Clock-in and clock-out happen in the cab and export into the payroll system already in place. The timesheet stops being a piece of paper somebody types up on Monday.
The fleet as it sits today
Run our services over the telematics devices a fleet already has, or put our app on the rugged tablets already in the cab. Re-equipping every bus is an option, not a prerequisite.
Vendor names are used to describe interoperability. No endorsement or partnership is implied.
The data was always meant to move.
Synovia has offered a free, open API to anyone who wanted to build on their own data. No licensing negotiation, no partner tier, no per-connector fee. If a district or a contractor wants to pull its own numbers into a warehouse, a dashboard or a system we have never heard of, that is what the API is for.
